A spin wheel that is actually fair
Spinwheele is a free spin the wheel for choosing a name, settling an argument, picking dinner or running a classroom game. Set how many segments you want, type your own entries or paste a list, then hold the brass button and let go.
Every segment is the same size and has the same chance. The result comes from the physics of the spin, not from a script, and there is no setting that can weight a segment. Hold longer for a harder launch, or flick the wheel yourself. It slows down the way a real wheel does, and the pointer clicks over each peg on the way.
How to use it
Set your entries
Choose how many segments you need, from 2 up to 40, then type a value in each one. You can also paste a list with one entry per line.
Hold, then release
Press and hold the brass button in the middle to charge the spin. The fuller the ring, the harder the launch.
Read the result
When the wheel settles, the winner fills the screen. Spin again, or remove that entry and spin for the next one.
Built to feel like a real wheel
Real physics
The wheel has weight, friction and pegs that flick the pointer. Nobody decides the result in advance.
Equal segments
Every segment is the same size. A wheel with 8 entries gives each one a 1 in 8 chance.
No sign-up
Open the page and spin. Nothing to install and no account to make.
Works on a phone
Big touch targets, a slide-up entries drawer and a layout that fits any screen.
Questions
Is the spin really random?
Yes. The wheel is a simulated physical object. The launch strength you give it and the friction in the pegs decide where it stops, and every segment is the same size.
Can I use my own list of names?
Yes. Use the segment count to make room, then type each entry, or paste a list with one entry per line into any field.
How many entries can I add?
Up to 40 on the wheel. More than that and the names become too small to read.
Can I stop an entry from coming up twice?
Turn on "Retire winners". Each winner is removed after it is picked, so everyone comes up once.
Is it free?
Yes, and you do not need an account.
